Milawa Fresh Goat Curd Cheese

Milawa Fresh Goat Curd

A very soft, high moisture cheese, which has a high acidity giving it a yoghurty tang. This cheese tastes great when spread on crusty bread, and then dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Alternatively, it can be eaten with fresh fruit like you would yoghurt.

Milawa Chevre cheese

Milawa Chèvre

Chèvre (pronounced Shev) is a French word meaning goat. The Chèvre cheese is drained longer than fresh goat curd, which creates a creamier mouth feel with a denser, drier texture. This cheese is delicious on pizza or crumbled through a salad.

Milawa Ashed Chevre cheese

Milawa Ashed Chèvre

Chèvre (pronounced Shev) is a French word meaning goat. The Chèvre cheese is drained longer than fresh goat curd, which creates a creamier mouth feel with a denser, drier texture, and is coated in a layer of ash made from our very own terrace vines. This cheese is delicious on pizza or crumbled through a salad.

Milawa Ceridwen Cheese

Milawa Ceridwen

This Cheese sits happily in both the fresh cheese and white mould categories. Like the Milawa Chèvre, it has been rolled in grape vine ash, however it is then matured with a white mould. When young, it still has the vibrant tang of Chèvre. As it matures, the white mould breaks down the cheese from the outside inwards, creating a more earthy, mushroomy flavour.

This cheese ranges from a delicate, mild flavour when young, to a strong goaty flavour when fully matured.

Milawa Mt Buffalo Blue cheese

Milawa Mt Buffalo Blue

Made in small batches, Mt Buffalo Blue is aged for 3-6 months and is only available seasonally. It has a gentle, goaty flavour and its distinctive blue and green moulds add character to any cheese board.

Milawa Tomme

Named for the French alpine cheese, Tomme de Chévre, which refers to the small 2kg barrel shape it is made in, this cheese has really rich, savoury, cheddary notes and a moist, dense texture.

milawa capricornia cheese

Milawa Capricornia

This multi award-winning hard goat’s cheese is made from spring goat’s milk and aged in our maturing rooms for 6-18 months. The younger cheese have a slightly more creamy mouth feel, while the older cheeses have incredibly sweet, nutty and goaty characteristics. This cheese is great shaved onto salads or over pasta.
