Annie The Cloud
Annie The Cloud
Ever tasted a cloud? Neither have we, but we think this comes close. This delicate, oozy goat’s camembert reminds us of the snow clouds that dominate Milawa’s winter skies. But that’s not why she’s named the Cloud. She’s named in honour of our beloved co-founder, Annie, who passed away in 2019. Annie's middle name was McLeod, but her daughter Ceridwen had a tough time pronouncing it. Instead she called her "Annie the Cloud". The perfect nickname for graceful, arty Annie, who would float into a room and light it up.
Our Annie the Cloud is mild and delicate at first, ripening to a pungent ‘meatiness’. She even has a silver lining of grapevine ash, made from the vines Annie and David planted when they first bought the old butter factory site.
She’s the perfect picnic date: enjoy her in the sunshine with bubbles, cider or seltzer, and some fresh fruit or quince jelly.
